Natural Dyes

Most natural dyes need both a plant extract and a mineral mordant to make a permanent colour.
Mordanting your fiber material:
alum: Divide the weight of the material to dye BY FOUR. Weight out that much alum mordant. A scant two tablespoons equals one ounce of alum. Add the alum to the pot, and almost fill with warm water.
other mordants: ½ oz (two teaspoons) per pound fiber for tin, chrome, iron and copper.
Color Fixatives:
Salt Fixative (for berry dyes) 1/2 cup salt to 8 cups cold water
Plant Fixatives (for plant dyes) 4 parts cold water to 1 part vinegar
Add fabric to the fixative and simmer for an hour. Rinse the material and squeeze out excess. Rinse in cool water until water runs clear.
Dye Bath: Place wet fabric in dye bath. Simmer together until desired color is obtained. The color of the fabric will be lighter when its dry. Also note that all dyed fabric should be laundered in cold water and separately.
Muslin, silk, cotton and wool work best for natural dyes and the lighter the fabric in color, the better. White or pastel colors work the best.

Grilled beef delicious as it is cooked in Argentina

Grilled beef delicious as it is cooked in Argentina
Typical grill Argentina

Grilled beef beef sauce, Chimichurri, cooking, grill,

Preheat the grill.
Meanwhile, get the steaks ready. Trim off and discard any excess fat from their edges. Rub both sides of each steak all over with the cut side of garlic clove half, first rubbing it repeatedly and firmly against the bone to puree the garlic, and then spreading the garlic all over the meat. Drizzle the olive oil all over both sides of the steaks and gently rubs it into the meat, making sure it is spread evenly. Leave the steaks at room temperature while the fire continues to heat up.
When the grill is ready, carefully oil the grill rack. Season the steaks generously on both sides with salt and black pepper to taste. Grill the steaks, turning them once, until done to your liking, about 10 minutes for medium.

Travel to Pinamar Argentina 2011

It is one of favorite places for Argentians for leisure and vacation. I like this place. Nice and quiet.
The city of Pinamar , maybe the most sophisticated on the Argentinean coastline, lies in the Province of Buenos Aires just 340 kilometers away from the City of Buenos Aires. Surrounded by pine tree groves (from which it has taken its name), it mingles the benefits of nature with the effort of the pioneers in its large forest, its sand hills and its deep blue sea.

How do you change the color of the thread of crochet hat?

Changing thread or yarn colors in crocheting is really quite easy, actually. It's easier to change colors in crocheting then it is with knitting.
If you want to introduce another color, make a slipknot in your new color you want to bring into your work.

Pull it through the loop that is on the hook, keeping the knot at the back, pulling this down. You're ready to start working your three chains for your first stitch because we're actually working in trebles, and then working a treble into each of the next stitches. This is a very secure way of introducing a new color into your work.
For changing colors at the beginning of a row, using a half double crochet stitch, again complete all the stitches of the previous row, with Color A, except for the last stitch. With Color A work that last stitch, until you have three loops of Color A on your hook. Pick up Color B, again leaving a good length for your yarn end. Grab Color B with your hook, and pull it through the three loops of Color A that are on your hook. Chain 2 stitches with Color B, and turn. Now you're ready to do proceed in half-double crochet across your next row with Color B.

To keep the continuity of the item, make sure that the skeins are the same yarn weight. It is best to use the same brand of yarn through a whole piece.
